Repair Summary

Checked washer for a torn and deteriorating door diaphragm. Upon arrival, found that the entire bottom section of the diaphragm was ripped. During removal of the retaining ring, the rubber continued tearing in multiple areas with minimal handling, suggesting a possible defective or deteriorated diaphragm.


Removed the damaged diaphragm and installed a new door diaphragm, ensuring all connections and retaining rings were properly secured. The washer was located in the living room and disconnected from its water and drain connections, preventing a complete operational or leak test. Verified that the unit powered on successfully. Full cycle and leak testing could not be performed due to the washer's location and disconnected condition.
