Speed Queen Washer - Leaking Water Into Tub
Model: AWNE9RSN116TW01
Location: Cape Coral, FL 33914
Repair Summary
Customer reported that water was slowly leaking into the washer tub while the appliance was turned off and not in use. Inspected the water inlet system and disconnected the supply hoses to examine the inlet valve screens for sediment, debris, or restrictions. Confirmed that both inlet screens were clean and free of obstructions. Further inspection determined that the water inlet valve was not sealing completely when de-energized, allowing water to pass through the valve and enter the tub even when the washer was not calling for water. Determined that the inlet valve assembly had failed internally and required replacement to correct the unwanted water intrusion.
Replaced the defective water inlet valve assembly and reconnected the water supply hoses. Performed operational testing to verify proper valve activation, water filling, wash operation, draining, and spinning. Confirmed that the washer completed the tested functions as designed and that the replacement inlet valve was properly controlling water flow. Inspected all water connections and surrounding components for leakage, with no leaks detected during testing. Uploaded video documentation confirming proper operation. Repair completed successfully, and the washer is functioning normally at this time.
