Repair Summary

Checked refrigerator for intermittent power loss. Customer stated the display would go completely blank, followed by a power failure error and audible beeping. Upon arrival, the refrigerator was operating normally and had been for the previous few days. Entered service mode and found no stored error codes or failed components. Verified a stable 120V supply at the outlet and traced power to the main control board with no voltage loss. Inspected the electronics and found no visible shorts or burned components. Replaced the main control board; however, after the compressor started, the display began flashing and the unit intermittently lost power again. Compressor windings tested evenly, and the compressor was not suspected as the cause. Suspected an intermittent short within the low-voltage DC circuit involving the inverter, evaporator fan, or display electronics. Returned and isolated the low-voltage components, activating each fan individually without duplicating the voltage drop. During further testing, the UI/display panel shorted when touched, and while disconnecting it, the connector and solder connection broke away from the panel. This may have been the source of the intermittent short. Replaced the UI/display panel and tested operation. Refrigerator is currently running normally with no flashing display, beeping, or power loss. Advised the customer to monitor the unit for any recurrence.
