Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for a no-cooling complaint. Upon inspection, found heavy sulfur contamination in the sealed-system area, causing corrosion and a refrigerant leak at the filter drier. Also found the refrigerant lines rusted and corroded. The refrigerator would require replacement of the filter drier and discharge line; however, due to the extent of the sulfur contamination and the unit being approximately three years old, contacted Whirlpool for review before proceeding with repairs. Whirlpool reviewed the findings and advised that the unit is currently under review. Whirlpool will contact the customer within 3–5 business days with further resolution.
