Repair Summary
Checked refrigerator for a no-cooling complaint. Upon arrival, verified that the compressor and fans were operating, but the interior compartments remained warm. Inspected the evaporator coil and found no proper frost pattern, with only a small amount of frost forming at the beginning of the coil, indicating a sealed system issue. Further inspection revealed sulfur-related corrosion on the suction line near the compressor. The refrigerator is located in the garage and is not connected to a water supply. Determined that a sealed system repair was necessary and ordered the required parts.
Completed the sealed system repair and installed a new filter drier. Pressure-tested all connections with 205 psi of nitrogen and allowed the system to remain pressurized, observing no pressure drop during the test. Evacuated the system and recharged it with 1.66 oz of refrigerant. Tested the refrigerator and verified normal operation at the time of service. Advised the customer to allow 24 hours for the refrigerator to reach proper operating temperatures.
