Whirlpool Fridge - Weak Water Pressure & Slow Ice Production

Repair Summary

Checked refrigerator for weak water pressure from the dispenser and slow ice production. Upon arrival, found the customer is using an aftermarket water filter. Removed the filter and allowed the bypass to activate, which resulted in a significant increase in water pressure from the dispenser. Advised the customer that the issue could be caused by either the filter housing or the water filter. Replaced the filter housing assembly and retested the dispenser, but water pressure remained weak with the aftermarket filter installed. This indicates the water filter is restricting flow. Advised the customer to replace the aftermarket filter with a genuine manufacturer-approved water filter. Explained that restoring proper water flow should improve both dispenser pressure and ice production. All other refrigerator components are operating properly. Unit checks normal at this time.
