Repair Summary

Checked range for the customer’s complaint of the oven not reaching the selected temperature. Upon inspection, found the bake heating element damaged and inoperative, preventing the oven from heating properly and maintaining the desired cooking temperature. Determined that the bake element required replacement to restore proper oven operation. Also observed aluminum foil or cooking sheets being placed directly on the bottom of the oven cavity. Educated the customer that placing these materials directly against the oven floor can trap excessive heat, damage or lift the protective enamel coating, and potentially cause permanent damage to the oven cavity.


Replaced the defective bake heating element and performed an operational test to verify proper heating functionality. Confirmed that the replacement element energized and the oven operated normally following the repair. Reinforced the importance of keeping the oven cavity floor clear of aluminum foil, baking sheets, and other materials that could interfere with proper heat distribution or damage the interior finish. No additional operational issues were identified during testing. Unit checks normal at this time.
