Whirlpool Washer - Drainage Issues

Repair Summary

Checked washer for reported drainage issues. Upon arrival, verified that the washer would power on but would not initiate a wash cycle. Also found that the door latch would not engage properly, preventing normal operation. Performed a visual inspection of the unit and discovered a damaged wiring harness underneath the washer. Attempted to repair the damaged electrical connection and was able to restore drain pump operation temporarily; however, the washer continued to display error codes and would not operate properly.


Based on the inspection and troubleshooting performed, determined that the washer requires replacement of the main control board, door latch assembly, wiring harness, and drain pump to restore proper operation. Discussed the findings and necessary repairs with the customer. Due to the extent of the repairs required, the customer declined further service and elected to purchase a new washer instead. Unit remains unrepaired.
