  • Samsung Microwave - No Heat

Model: ME21DG6300SRAA Location: Fort Myers, FL 33913 Repair Summary Checked microwave for no heat. Upon arrival, the microwave needed to be removed from the cabinet for further diagnosis. Before attempting removal, found one of the mounting screws installed sideways and spinning in place, indicating the mounting hardware had been damaged during installation. Obtained a signed damage waiver before touching the unit and advised the customer that safe removal might not be possible. Attempted removal but was unable to safely remove the microwave. Further inspection found physical cabinet/frame damage at the front of the microwave causing the fan to contact the cavity and preventing proper fan operation. This lack of airflow is causing the magnetron to overheat and has resulted in a no-heat condition. Contacted Tech Support and documented the findings. Tech Support initially advised that the physical damage should not affect operation; however, the frame is visibly pushed forward and interfering with the fan. A supervisor will follow up regarding the findings. Customer was advised that the physical/installation damage is not covered and they will need to contact the place of purchase to have the microwave safely removed and the damaged mounting hardware addressed. Once the unit is properly removed and accessible, recommend having the main control board, magnetron, and capacitor available for further diagnosis and repair.

Inspected the outlet under the sink and found it burned, which also damaged the dishwasher power cord. Advised the customer that the outlet and power cord are external/accessory items and are not covered under the appliance warranty. Customer will need to have the damaged outlet replaced and purchase a new power cord. Temporarily connected the dishwasher to the disposal-side outlet and confirmed the dishwasher powers on and operates; however, advised the customer that the unit may shut off or have additional power issues due to the damaged power cord and should not be considered fully corrected until the outlet and cord are replaced.

  • Samsung Fridge - No Cool & No Ice

Inspected the sealed system and found oil residue at the Lokring fitting next to the condenser, indicating a refrigerant leak. Ran the HASS Weak Cooling Test, which failed, confirming a sealed-system repair was required. Returned and installed the ordered parts and completed the sealed-system repair. During installation of the filter drier, a coupler broke due to the extremely tight working area and had to be cut out and redone. There was not enough tubing remaining on the filter drier to properly reconnect it, so the filter drier was replaced again. Allowed the couplers to properly set, then pressure tested the system to 350 PSI. Isolated the system for 15 minutes and bubble tested all joints with no bubbles found. Pressure dropped only 2.5 PSI during the test. Released the nitrogen and evacuated the system to 600 microns. Recharged the refrigerator according to factory specifications, restored power, and verified the compressor and all fans started properly.
