Model: DVE47CG3500WA3 Location: Cape Coral, FL 33914 Repair Summary Checked dryer for excessive noise. Tested operation and verified the noise concern. Disassembled the unit and found the blower wheel broken (see pictures). Also found significant lint buildup inside the filter housing. Replaced the blower housing assembly and thoroughly cleaned the filter housing. Tested operation and verified the dryer is now running with normal operating noise (see before-and-after video). Attempted to run HASS diagnostics but received a C80 airflow restriction error, indicating the external vent is approximately 80% restricted. Recommended that the customer have the dryer vent professionally cleaned as soon as possible to ensure proper airflow and drying performance.
- Samsung Fridge - No Cool
Model: RF24BB6200QLAA Location: Fort Myers, FL 33913 Repair Summary Checked refrigerator for weak cooling. Customer stated the fresh food section was maintaining temperature, but the freezer was not cooling properly. Connected HASS and ran a service diagnostic report, which showed the freezer temperature at approximately 23°F and the fresh food section around 40°F. Inspected the compressor area and found no traces of oil. Bubble tested all accessible sealed-system joints with no bubbles or visible leaks found. Inspected the freezer compartment and verified the evaporator fan was operating with proper airflow. Found only one loop of frost forming on the evaporator coil, indicating a possible restriction or low refrigerant charge. Cut into the sealed system and found the system still under pressure, with no evidence of a refrigerant leak, indicating a restriction was more likely. Ordered the filter drier and necessary sealed-system parts. Returned and installed the ordered parts and completed the sealed-system repair. Pressure tested the system to 350 PSI, isolated it for 15 minutes, and observed only a 0.6 PSI drop. Bubble tested all joints again with no leaks found. Released the nitrogen and evacuated the system to 600 microns. Recharged the refrigerator according to factory specifications, restored power, and verified the compressor and all fans started and cool air was circulating properly. Set temperatures accordingly and advised the customer to allow approximately 24 hours for proper cooling temperatures and normal ice production to be restored. Unit checks normal at this time.
- Samsung Fridge - AutoFill Issues / Noisy / No Ice
Model: RF29DB970012AA Location: Cape Coral, FL 33993 Repair Summary Checked refrigerator for multiple concerns, including the AutoFill pitcher not filling, excessive noise from the bite-size ice maker during harvest, and the cube ice maker not producing ice. Customer stated the AutoFill pitcher had not worked since the refrigerator was purchased. Upon inspection, found the AutoFill pitcher feature turned off. Turned the feature on and tested operation. Verified the pitcher does fill but times out due to low water pressure to the refrigerator (see video). Customer has an under-sink reverse osmosis system and was advised to have the RO system checked for proper water pressure and flow. Inspected the ice makers and found the cube ice maker fill tube frozen and the bite-size ice maker noisy and getting stuck halfway through the harvest cycle. Replaced both ice makers and fill tubes. Tested operation and verified both ice makers completed the harvest cycle properly (see video). Both ice makers continue to have reduced water supply due to the RO system and will operate as efficiently as possible with the available water pressure. Ran HASS diagnostics and sent the passed Overall Check results to Samsung.
- Samsung Fridge - No Cool / Low Ice Production
Model: RS27T5200SR/AA Location: Lehigh Acres, FL 33974 Repair Summary Checked refrigerator for weak cooling and poor ice production. Customer stated the ice maker had stopped producing ice and, when it did produce ice, the ice was slushy. Checked the freezer temperature and found it at approximately 32°F, which is not cold enough for proper ice production. Verified the compressor and all fans were operating. Inspected the sealed system and found oil residue at the Lokring connection near the condenser, confirming a refrigerant leak. This is a known issue with this model. Completed the sealed-system repair by replacing the filter drier and affected Lokring connections. Pressure tested the sealed system to 353 PSI and observed only a 4 PSI drop over more than 15 minutes, verifying the system passed the pressure test with no additional leaks found. Evacuated the system to a deep vacuum and recharged the refrigerator according to factory specifications. Advised the customer to allow approximately 24 hours for proper cooling temperatures to be restored, after which normal ice production should resume. Also recommended that the customer obtain the proper filter bypass and remove the refrigerator water filter since the unit is supplied by the reverse osmosis system under the sink, helping prevent additional water-flow restriction.
- Whirlpool Fridge - No Ice / Leaking Ice Maker
Model: WRS555SIHZ03 Location: Cape Coral, FL 33914 Repair Summary Checked refrigerator for ice maker leaking and no ice production. Customer stated the ice maker had been leaking prior to completely stopping ice production. Found the ice maker turned off upon arrival; however, this was not the cause of the failure. Inspected the ice maker and found it cracked (see pictures). Attempted to cycle the ice maker and found it would attempt to harvest but only jerk back and forth without completing a full harvest cycle, confirming the ice maker was faulty. Also found low water pressure at the dispenser and verified low incoming water pressure at the wall. Unit is connected to a reverse osmosis system under the sink. Advised the customer that the faulty ice maker could be replaced, but ice production would remain low until proper water pressure is restored. Customer agreed. Replaced the ice maker and tested operation. Advised the customer that normal ice production should resume once the reverse osmosis/water supply issue is corrected.
- Maytag Dryer - Noisy
Model: MED6230HW2 Location: Lehigh Acres, FL 33972 Repair Summary Checked dryer for a noise concern. Upon arrival, started a cycle and initially found no abnormal noise while the dryer was cool. As the unit heated up, the metal cabinet began to flex and vibrate, producing a slight rattling sound. Took a video demonstrating that the noise is coming from the metal cabinet vibrating while the motor and drum are operating. No mechanical failure was found, and the noise does not affect dryer operation. With normal use and repeated heating and cooling, metal cabinet components can slightly warp or flex and produce this type of rattling noise. Verified proper heating and airflow. Other than the normal cabinet vibration, unit checks normal at this time.
